Salt and Sugar Museum
It was not only after a lot of effort was made that Aguadulce Salt and Sugar Museum was opened on June 26, 1998. It is an institution of an environmental and industrial nature as it shows the main production items of that community and other unavoidable historical issues.
The pre-Columbian Room exhibits various archaeological pieces found in Aguadulce, while the History Room shows documents, photos of illustrious personalities and historic matters about the people.
An area has been equipped with details relating to salt production since Indian times, tools, a model and today’s harvest, while another area deals with the sugar industry, including the origins of sugar growing, sugar mills and the production process to a variety of sugar cane by-products.
