Manuel F. Zarate Museum
Address: Calle 21 de Enero de Guararé. Los Santos.
This museum was opened on 24 September 1969 in a small house with rushes and mud walls, a roof made of wood and tiles and floor tiles. There are two rooms inside, one of which shows local handicraft, musical instruments of various origins, sculptures and documents.
It is noteworthy that in the small garden of this museum there is a bust of professor Zárate as well as other sculptures by local artist Carlos Arboleda representing the Tamborito dance.
The early twenty years of the Mejorana festival are brought to life through 20 lathes containing press clippings of that period.
